Straight Road

The Straight Road awaits me in the West.

Swans flicker their wings on the shore

singing the lullaby for my mind.

Father, I failed you

but I wore your curse with lowliness

and my spirit cries for mercy now

Father, I failed you

but I bowed and licked the ground,

allowed the pain to swallow me.

Father, I failed you

but I can suffer no more

the swans sing on the shore, calling me

Father, I beg you

the Straight Road awaits me in the West.
