Ooh, the ending was quite unexpected! I love the idea that Tar-Míriel became the Witch-King, and it must have come as a shock to Eärnur. Great open ending. I also like how their duel parallels that of Fingolfin and Morgoth.

....is the Witch King. And she offers Eärnur the chance to become like her, an immortal. He fought so hard against the usurper of Minas Ithil, feeling he was the better warrior and wanting to both reclaim his city and erase his defeat in the North, but he has failed. And since Eärnur was never seen again, we don't know whether he accepted her and became one of the Nazgûl. Eek!

Ooh, this gave me the shivers! Eärnur is clearly out of his depth! The ambiguous ending, not knowing which way he'll choose, adds to the drama and horror of the scene.
