Lúcellë is a wonderful aunt to have! I take it her name comes from "enchantment"? I really enjoy the concept of Songs of Power, and love that she's teaching Maglor growth songs to make flowers bloom more. What could be further than the battle-songs that lie in his future!? I really enjoyed typing Maglor's characterisation here — reminds me oh my own nephew who's about this age now!

Thank you! I don't think that's where her name is from (although it's possible)? I could have sworn I got it from realelvish.net, because it definitely predates Chestnut's list and I can't make Quenya names to save my life, but I can't find it in the name lists now, and somehow the meaning did not end up in my OC lists back when I was figuring out names for Nerdanel's family. They've all lived in my head for years at this point, just waiting for a fic to be written into.

That's just what I was going for! :D (He doesn't forget this song, or any of the others his aunt teaches him, and they will make their way to Numenor and Rivendell, in time.)

Oh, I just get excited when I recognise some Quenya, and I remembered lúcë means "enchantment". (Only because I used it in the title of my ficlet Lómelindë lúcë "Nightingale's Enchantment.)  I think it’s the absolute perfect name for your OC, with her Songs of (enchanting) Power.  I also love that you have a Nerdanel's family, with names and all! I hope they push their way into more fics because I'm intrigued to know more, and Lúcellë is lovely!

And knowing that these Songs are part of the magic of Númenor and Rivendell eases some of the sting.
