Mirrormere

Khazad-dûm rises and Khazad-dûm falls, while

Here on the east-side of Durin's great halls,

Evening sky-blue with its star-crown of fame, lies

'Lake Looking-Glass' (as the Elves give it name).

Endlessly waiting for Durin to wake

Dimrill Dale's glory, o'erlooked by Zirak

-Zigil, Barazinbar, Bundushathûr

Azanulbizar's grim battle it saw.

Reflecting the mountains, the stars still appear

And dark is the water of fair

Mirrormere.
