Luthien Tinuviel
Read Luthien Tinuviel
Darker than starfall,
Soft as a kittens fur,
Such wonder your hair is my little,
Jewel of my heart
Eyes lit by starlight,
Bottomless and deep,
Know that one day men will drown in them
As I am drowning now.
I can see years passing,
Centuries flying by,
As you learn to dance among the trees
On quick as lightning feet.
What will time bring you
Endless joy, deepest grief?
Whatever come this forest will guard you.
You are my heart and here you’ll remain.

A beautiful voice of a loving father, for whom his newborn daughter was the most wonderful being in the world. A touch of foreshadowing and lovely metaphors. Very, very poignant little thing, and I'm really happy that my prompt inspired you. Thank you!
