You had me at the summary! I remember when I first started posting Silmfic, about seven years ago, the hell I caught for allowing my Elves to get dirty and grubby. So I am heartened to see whole stories about it now! ;)

I really had fun reading this piece. I can easily see how these cultural differences would create ... strain. And you nailed the voices and reactions of the characters!

I've read quite a lot on the practicalities of travelling in the Middle Ages/Sword 'n' Socery type times, so I usually try to keep it somewhat accurate ;) Unfortunately (or not, depending on your view ;) ) the image of Galadriel pointing to whatever she wants and yelling, "Celeborn, fetch!" comes too easily into my mind...
