Poor Maglor! My favourite elf since forever and always so sad! You convery really poignantly his mix of despair, madness and exhaustion.
he has stopped counting the sunsets and sunrises because measuring eternity has no purpose
Perfect sentence.
An amazingly strong look at the wreckage of his mind after all else has left him. I loved it.
- Erulisse (one L)
A job well done. many are the tales yet told and many are the songs yet sung of the sorrows of the Noldo to which you have given great and careful thought. Yet by reason of your art and by art of your reasoned wisdom in perseption and in deminstrating the profundity of the words made by he who was first subcreater down to your own noble subcreation there is kept the living link of the memory of the age that has departed and the age that comes from the bleak and restless point to the fenced peaks of imaginative consideration, both deep and profound. In the end I hope that I will find more such tales soon and that if you would be interested if you could take a look at a few of my own attempts at this our subcreation in the essense of the cronicles of the West as prepounded onto we of the books of lore, the living histories of legend and of those wonderous and admirible adaptations which have inspired the pen to work mightier marvels then even Glamdring or of Sting or of Grond. I am but a minstrel on a wandering quest, a lord of many words without rest. Yet in these realms of rimed wings, you capture the harrowing for which man doth sing. Once more if I might say in repeated honesty, this is indeed a job well done. Keept up the good work.
Sad and haunting and horrifying, and in many ways quite close to my personal conception of Maglor's wanderings, but far more elegant in phrasing and style. I enjoyed this a lot, if that's the right word.
