Title: The Temptation of Knowledge
I sat in my workroom looking at the tall, meticulously groomed elf standing in front of me. On my bench were his samples, jewelry, lamps and cunningly jointed figurines of a caliber and design that would rival Lord Aulë’s own work. Ereinion's warning letter lay in my drawer.
“I hope you will consider my admittance into the Gwaith-i-Mírdain,” he said smoothly.
“I would examine these closer,” I responded. “Return tomorrow and I will give you my answer.” But I already knew that although I might borrow trouble by admitting Annatar, I could not turn away from his knowledge.
