The Mask You Own by Erurainon

Chapter 1

Dance,
And let me drink in your dark eyes,
Their livid mask a knell to us both.
Do you dare to hold here,
The hand you once praised,
Above all gems and jewels,
The frame that made you smile,
Broad and bright like the circlet you bear with pride?
I thought not.
You jest and gibe too much to be real,
And in feeling you drown the very person seeming sees,
A hateful fool,
Possessed by his own possession.
Betrayed by his own cunning.
What say you!
What mean you?
Your name is tale enough …
Dance damned whit,
And let me scorn you!
