I wander waiting wild lonesome,
Listening long to the hush of the night,
The eventide warm and vibrant soothing,
Solemn and fair through the course of the dark.
Red lit lanterns line the highway,
Tongues of fire fresh and bright.
Who hath lit them,
All here marvel,
Moved to awe by this haunted kingdom.
O dying star capture fully,
Fenced fancies won and lost.
I am all and still yet nothing,
Pricked by fame though charged with want.
