Fëanor makes the Silmarils
It must have taken years for Fëanor to figure out how to trap light into crystals and to create Silima, the substance from which the Silmarills were made. I tried to illustrate a moment of that long process in order to commemorate the amount of research and work he must have put into his greatest creations.
