That line...the stars also lived in rocks...is perfection: primeval but very elvish. 

Then Akâron reaches out to touch the flame and we have another implied -- and painful -- discovery there.

What a lovely way of putting this so simple action! And it's all so visual: feeding the fire with dry leaves, the black ash spreading. Very nice drabble.
