Interesting that you should post this now because lately I've been thinking about Aredhel, Eol, and the consequences of their terrible marriage and how Valar will deal with them. In my latest fic one of the issue I raise is about the unfairness of L & C.

But although Tolkien didnt solve the problem of Aredhel and Eol, I appreciate him creating this complex relationship in the middle of his own rigid view of L & C. It seems that he realized the ramification of the rigidity and perhaps he wanted to solve it later on but either forget or didnt have chance.

How sad that she would be forever stuck with this... man, unless she refused to leave the Halls. Flawed as she might have been, Aredhel did deserve a better life... fate, whatever the Valar might have in store for her, with the exception of being with Eol again.

Veyr interesting take on the LACE. Thanks for sharing :)
