Heh.  No, I would not define this as crack!fic.  It's a highly entertaining AU though!  I love Lúthien's pluckiness, and clearly, there is an interesting backstory there, given all the hints and clues you've dropped in the fic.  Daeron and Maglor coming to blows - heh.

Lúthien shrugged. “I’m good at it. And you and your master have never ceased to fall for it.” She smirked. “That reflects more on you than it does me.”

This was a fun read. :^)

Thank you! I was honestly worried about posting it because it's a departure from my normal works. I'm glad you like her pluckiness; I couldn't write her any other way.

As for the backstory: Lúthien doesn't return to Doriath after Beren dies, and only does so when she hears about the sacking. She gets there in time to rescue Eluréd and Elurín, and she takes them east and out of Beleriand when the War of Wrath starts. They spend most of their time among the Avari, and Lúthien becomes a spy for them. She occasionally works with the Blue Wizards. And sometimes travels west to visit her family there, which is when she reunited with Huan. (I have no idea what she meant by family in the east, whether they're blood relations or family-by-choice.) Which may not answer everything, but it's what I have.

Again, thank you.

Thank you! Definitely not probable, but it's one of those stories that demanded to be written.
