About Me
I began my journey to Middle Earth some 35 years ago.
I have read the LOTR about a half dozen times, and have the Silmarillion (S) both in hardcover and audio form. When I received S in hadcover, I found it diffuclt to read, but soon acquired the audio. After listening to the audio, I then was able to read the hardcover.
I have created a timeline Excel spreadsheet covering the main characters of S from the beginning of the First Age to the end of the Third.
I have seen the Peter Jackson movies at least 3 times, and although they are basically well done, I am quite unhappy about some of the major deviations from the stories: no Tom Bombadil; no barrow wights; the manner of the death of Saruman.
