Fanwork Notes

Upon discovering that Himling- formerly Himring- still stood after mainland Beleriand was destroyed, I had the sudden urge to write this fic.

If you think, "Hey, metal can't last this long!" at the end (I'm unsure actually), then chalk it up to Elvish skill/magic (I use the slash because Elves themselves are unsure how to define magic).

While technically taking place in the Third Age, the central focus in this is Elrond's relationship with Silmarillion characters, so I think it can still be posted here. :)

It is a nice idea of Elrond visting the isle of Himling (have you any idea why this change from -r-to -l- happend?)..

The whole ancient atmosphere is painted in Elronds thoughts about it.

But then the harp strings..

Hits me all over, the thought, Maglor could have visited this island to mourn his losses...

Wow, need my kleenex to wipe some tears.
