Egalmoth does not seem to be very familiar with bee-keeping, does he?

But he chose his new target under considerable provocation, so a lapse in judgement is perhaps understandable. One feels the beekeepers might not be able to follow that argument, though.

I'm amused by all that to-and-fro about the degree of decorative-ness! Somehow, I don't think either of those two lords have fought a (non-embroidered) orc for a while, even though they are working hard on their fitness.

In my mind, this is happening in Vinyamar, pretty soon after its founding. They might have fought in the Lammoth (my Glorfindel did; I am working on a fic where this is mentioned) and maybe against an Orc patrol or two, but they have not exactly adopted a military mindset. (It has to be early, for Glorfindel to be asking so many silly questions about archery. Egalmoth's ignorance of beekeeping and similar matters will probably persist.)

That said, I do tend to write Elves (especially some of them) as rather... focused on aesthetics, so I can imagine them having completely ridiculous discussions like this one at pretty much any point (except maybe while suffering from very extreme ptsd).
