Once again, thank you! I'm beyond delighted you're reading and enjoying my stories. :) The atmosphere I'm sure is partly to be attributed to Tolkien's songs, especially the Tom Bombadil ones which I read for research, but more directly also fairy mythology and my own local Barrow-downs in summer. But with these ingredients it's not a far stretch, so I can see why it would remind you.

As for the gem belonging to Lúthien, I'm intrigued by the idea. I'm not sure how that might have happened unless it was passed down from her to Elwing and then was among the heirlooms that survived past the Downfall of Númenor all the way into Cardolan (since Lúthien for all we know never went further east than Ossiriand and lived/died long before Cardolan was a twinkle in anybody's eye), but the association makes sense to me. Lúthien is noted for wearing blue, she's known for being very beautiful, so is the lady from the barrow, and the brooch is blue as well, so you may have connected these ideas?

I'm doing the hugest, dorkiest grin at my monitor right now! :D Thank you so much for such a glowing review! This was the fic that made me fall in love with the pairing and it's the reason that I keep requesting it all the time, because I want everyone's version of Goldberry and the Cardolan lady, but I'm so glad Ivriluin and all the rest appealed to you, writing such wonderful Goldberry fics yourself! :D ♥♥♥
