Different colors signify the role(s) a member has on the server.
red = SWG moderator
These are the folks who manage the server and other parts of the SWG. Note that not all mods are active on Discord; contact the server mods listed in the #read-me-first channel if you need help or have a question.
purple = Istar
Istari are members who are committed to making the server as friendly and welcoming as can be, including assisting newcomers. Please reach out to our Istari, listed in the #read-me-first channel, if you have a question or need assistance—they are here to help!
blue = SWG event host
We regularly hold book clubs, readings, and collaborative sessions on this server. The blue role is assigned to server members who are hosting these events.
If you want to host an event, you can contact one of the server mods or post to the appropriate channel (e.g., #fanfiction-book-club) if one exists. We also have FAQ pages for some of the more common events held on our server: fanfiction book clubs, instadrabbling, and live readings.
green = Tolkien fandom event moderator
If an SWG member is running an event friendly to the Silmarillion fandom, we will set up a channel for their event at their request. Names in green are those who are hosting these events; find their channels in the Fandom Events section. The description of each channel will identify who the mod(s) are. See the FAQ on fandom event channels or contact a server moderator if you would like a channel for your event.
