Thanks, Clodia.  He is Vala and I can't imagine that he wants to live in Stygian darkness at all times.  He wears the Silmarils, for goodness sake.  Therefore he walks in the most intense light available outside of the Trees.  Yes, I think he loves light.  Thank you so much for reading and reviewing, I appreciate it very much.

Thank you very much. This story was early in my exploration of the Dark Vala, but I still hold to this premise through the stories I have written since this time. I have also learned to really love the character of ultimate evil. There's something just fun to write about when you turn your back on sweetness and light. Thanks so much for your kind words.
