I held my breath all the way, and hoped so hard that she'd survive, and then understood why this was the only way, and I'm crying. I cannot believe this needed much tweaking of any sort.

How was that for one fully incoherrent comment? Elanor was very real: I mourn for her.

Like Keiliss, I was holding my breath - you've conveyed the intensity of the attack so well, I had to read it in a big rush before I got too scared to turn back! Poor Elanor. Poor Seregon. Poor Amrod - poor everyone, really. It's such a rotten situation, and you've illustrated perfectly how good people turn into murderers - for the wrong reasons, and for the right reasons.
So glad tht Elanor's sacrifices weren't in vain, that what she did had a real impact for the better.
