I chose the elvish festival Tarnin Austa from the prompt list and picked the canonical event associated with it, as well: the Fall of Gondolin.
The introduction to the challenge also referred to the canonical date of the Nirnaeth Arnoediad, which was Midsummer; I have incorporated this into the drabble.
