Well-done! You have a nice style - straightforward and heartfelt. I felt Ambarussa's sadness.

I enjoyed how you considered other aspects of the Shibboleth burning of the ships - the dismay at losing their goods, Maedhros' reaction to Feanor choosing only Curufin, and of course the inevitable sorrow and guilt for Umbarto. And the sons having to publicly stand by their father despite their private confusion and dismay - a very interesting point. The Shibboleth made the story of Losgar so much more messy and complex.
