Hey!  Another Elrond/Gil-galad fan!  Like you, I believe these two belong together.  Unfortunately, the Professor did not agree, it seems.  Still, there are ways to bend, if not break, the canon.  I can think of a couple right now.

I loved reading your story.  It was so well-written, and that's always a turn-on for me.  The points you brought up are excellent, too. 

Recently I posted a story here about them after Gil-galad died and before Elrond's marriage.. It's humor, though, which is what I am able to write.  I do angst poorly, i believe.  Anyway thanks for an excellent bit of work on these two.
