This is from the perspective of a highly anthropomorphised Glamdring.
I was originally going to make it all the way to Gandalf's departure to Aman(presumably with Glamdring), but I got carried away and never left Gondolin. I am hoping to continue this timeline to make it there.
Part of my depiction of Gondolin is inspired by a line from a poem by Lingwiloke, Black and White. Here is a link: http://www.silmarillionwritersguild.org/archive/home/viewstory.php?sid=3157
"A frigid city, frozen in time,
your people never truly left the ice behind."
"Swiftly flow the days" is taken from the song Sunrise Sunset, which is from Fiddler on the Roof. I was also inspired by the song Mirror, Mirror(by Blind Guardian.) It is about the creation of Gondolin, and many parts of it inspired this poem.
I believe that is all the credit/explanation necessary.
