For the Discovery-challenge. Originally I planned to write something about Aredhel, but then this scene popped into my head and demanded to be written. I might continue it someday, depending on whether I get any inspiration. For now, though, it's finished.
Listening to the song "How Far I'll Go" (which I love) I got struck by the sense of longing, the irrepressible desire for something that's not out of reach, but forbidden nonetheless. And isn't that the perfect setup for Nerdanel? (Plus, the lyrics fit Maglor so well!)
