Fanwork Notes

Written for Enismirdal

There are mentions in the HoMe of how a beleif existed that Elured and Elurin were succored by the wild birds and led to safety. I thought that would make a nice fairy tale kind of story...

A very colorful rendering of a fairy tale in "Middle-Earth" style.  I've personally suspected that Tolkien had a plan somehow for Dior's twins--but maybe the concept just slipped through the cracks.   I've also wondered why Melian didn't intervene for the sake of her great grandkids--and this piece answers that for me.

The lovely Enismirdal who used to beta for me (she is now far too busy with normal life) had a deep love for Dior's twins and I like playing with different types of stories, so a fairytale version of the fates of Elured and Elurin was too good a challange to pass up. I am glad you enjoyed it!
