Maedhros the Red-haired Elfie
Had some very bright red hair,
And if you ever saw him
You would even say he's fair.

All of the dark-haired Noldor
Used to laugh and call him names;
They wouldn't let poor Maedhros
Join in any Elfie games.

Then one scary Moon-rise Eve,
Cirdan came to say:
"Maedhros with your sword so bright,
Won't you fight the Orcs tonight?"

Then how the Elfies loved him.
As they shouted out with glee,
"Maedhros the Red-haired Elfie,
You'll go down in history."
