Limits of Defiance by Himring
Fanwork Notes
The Teens rating is for a bit of foreshadowing.
This drabble combines prompts from the Holiday Party Insta-drabbling session and Tolkien100.
The Insta-drabbling prompt involved a "Never Have I Ever" game, in which I was challenged to write on the subject of "teenage rebellion" for my chosen character Finduilas.

Finduilas remembered the time she had set off to walk on her own to Ivrin, in the middle of the winter. Nothing, she was sure, could stop her—had not her father and his siblings successfully crossed the Helcaraxe? In an unwatched moment, she had dashed out into the snow. Not that she had got very far, before she realized maybe such expeditions needed a bit more preparation! Gwindor had found her and brought her back that time. He had not even told on her.
She had done all of her rebelling early. Later, the stakes had grown too high.
Chapter End Notes
The Tolkien100 prompt used was: dashing through the snow.
It doesn't seem like…
It doesn't seem like Finduilas had all that many opportunities for rebellion!
True! And that might be one…
True!
And that might be one of the reasons why she fell, reluctantly, for Turin!
