Chapter 1

“What was it like at Lake Mithrim?” Elrond asked.
“Let’s see. It was big,” Maglor answered. “Green also.”
Elrond frowned. Elros had to giggle, recognizing the familiar pattern: Elrond relentless; Maglor withholding in an affectionate way. ‘He’s fearless and full of himself,’ Maglor often said of Elros’ incorrigible brother.
Maedhros came up behind Elros, his laugh communicating to him that he recognized the usual push and pull also. “It was paradise,” Maedhros interjected, with a grin in his voice. When Elros turned to him, he winked.
“For you maybe!” Maglor huffed. “You arrived later and had Findekáno to look after you.”

What a wonderful slice of life!
I had to giggle with Elros at Maglor's antics, and I love the reference to Maitimo and Findekáno. Very few words, so much to dream about!

Thank you. You are so kind. I like to imagine that Elrond and Elros actually brought Maglor and Maedhros some joy while naturally driving them crazy.

Very nice :) I too like to think that the boys brought joy to Maedhros' and Maglors's life, just as children do. Thank you for sharing.

I really like the way you draw Maglor here, trying to hold two outsize personalities in check!

Forgot to mention--you've written about the affection between Maedhros and Elrond before, but this is, I think, the first time you show Maedhros and Elros interacting, although in a more quiet sort of way?
