Fanwork Notes

This is half exploring whether I can put synaesthesia associations into art and half playing around with the different texture brushes Krita has to offer, and fully inspired by the Colors Bingo Board for the Potluck challenge. I guess I'm going for a blackout on that board XD

Nessa's Dance

Colours are taken from the B column of the Color Board for the Potluck Bingo.

Nessa to me is speed and dance and autumn leaves and all of these are reddish in my mind, so that's how we ended up here

Chapter End Notes

I aimed at getting all of the red prompts included, though I'm eyeballing this, because I haven't figured out how to select the specific shades given in the board description. Oh well

Yavanna's Garden

This isn't quite where I expected to end up with the N column, but it feels correct. Yavanna's garden did not want to be just green, but there are trees and bushes and grass and flowers and just a little bit of magic, running like pathways through the grass.

Chapter End Notes

The lighter broad lines are supposed to be regularly used paths, but I think that's the only concrete thought I had with regards to this. Everything else is just vibes

Nienna's Grief

I've been playing a game called Spiritfarer. It's about death and dying and grief. It's also about hope and connection and the question what we do with the time we have. It's very Nienna sort of game. I think she would get along with the main character.

And since Nienna is purple, I decided to do something with the feelings the game invokes in me and fill the next column of the Colorful Bingo. It should be obvious, but this is 'O', with all its shades of purple.

Grief to me, is like this tangled ball that slowly starts to unravel as the loss becomes less overwhelming. Tears might make the colours blurry, but even when it's not really visible, hope is still tucked away in that ball somewhere, faint hints splattered across everything, so that's in this art, too
