Summary:

The Exiles of Gondolin come to Sirion.  The residents of Sirion welcome them, and friendship blossoms between the last remaining loremaster of Gondolin and a young poet of Sirion.

What a lovely friendship between those two! Dirhaval's characterization is so appealing here. Beautiful descriptions, too. Poor Pengolodh, arriving with heart and feet in such a state, but they were nevertheless lucky to encounter Dirhaval right away.

I really love your Dirhavel! This is such a lovely fic; I like how quiet and ordinary Dirhavel's life is in contrast to what Pengolodh has just experienced, and their budding friendship is really delightful. 

The last three chapters especially squeezed my heart. I really felt for Pengolodh not wanting to be the keeper of everyone’s grief and memories. I love Dirhaval’s curiosity & eagerness to make connection with “his” Elf. Lovely little series and a great use of prompts.

I love how you intertwined those two lines and the cranes! I love watching the cranes when they pass overhead on their journey north or south because I happen to live in the middle where they don't stay. It's the sign that the seasons are changing and you captured that feeling of change so well!
