Read Even the Wisest Cannot Tell
Galadriel stood silent at Alqualondë's shore with her mother, watching the billows reflecting the Calacirya's soft mingled treelight.
"What troubles you, my darling?" asked Eärwen, eventually.
Galadriel hesitated before replying. "I had the oddest premonition." She paused again, before contining. "It seemed Laurelin and Telperion flew in tandem through the sky, having swallowed every one of Varda's stars until they were all bundled in a great ball of such intense brilliance that it hurt to look at; so bright the whole sky became a pale blue."
"An odd vision indeed" agreed Eärwen, "but a delusion, I'm sure, not a premonition."
