New Challenge: Musicals
Prompts this month come from musicals.
Before the Music, there was Void, and They were alone in all Their dreams. Their dreams were fragments, fragments of a melody. Their dreams were vast and yet singular. Details infinite and brush strokes of a single color. Darkness and light streaked across nothingness. Fractals spun and expanded and contracted in an increasingly complex dance that was both everything and nothing.
Their being transformed and solidified by the whirling direction of thought and intention, became. They had created Themself, Their vast and singular self. And the realization of one’s own creation was a marvel. They sought to replicate. They fixated on the nature of Their fragmentary dreams and from Their thought: a wholly separate being. A companion with whom They could lead the Music.
Together, they joined their Voices and their thoughts, and they became more. They named each other, and in so doing, transformed and separated themselves further. Eru, the dreamer, the One and yet everything and nothing, They/He/She/All who was/is/will be alone. Melkor, transformer of thought into will and action, He who is/will be mighty/strong/rigid.
In the beginning, there was Void, and to Void they would return to one another.
