Founded in 2005, the Silmarillion Writers' Guild exists for discussions of and creative fanworks based on J.R.R. Tolkien's The Silmarillion and related texts. We are a positive-focused and open-minded space that welcomes fans from all over the world and with all levels of experience with Tolkien's works. Ah, poor Turin. His life does seem like a pretty sucky sitcom, if you squint. It'll be interesting to see the prompts for the rest of his story, though.
All the bad decisions and unfortunate coincidences really add up to a pretty decent (awful) comedy, if you have a dark sense of humour! I have enough to see the potential, but not enough to make it happen, so I ended up with a serious take based on the comedy prompts.
There are further instalments planned, but I haven't yet written them. But there'll definitely going to be more prompts - culminating (I assume) in "Is this thing still on?"...
