The night before Fëanor and his sons leave for Formenos, nerdanel remembers her life with her husband and ponders the choice she made not to follow him in exile and how it'll change all their lives. She tries to find hope and courage in the midst of resenment, distress and determination.
Inspired by October 2013 challenge "Turning Point."
Madness can be transmitted; or at least, the memory of madness can. When Nerdanel finds herself alone, she finds that the line between memory and madness is much more easily crossed than she ever thought was possible.

A significant encounter between Nerdanel and Indis introduces a new chapter in their lives. Written for silmladylove’s second annual 2015 Tolkien Femslash Week on Tumblr. The romance herein is not explicit, but foreshadowed. I do have an untold story of these two women rattling around in my head that I will continue. I had hopes when I wrote my story A Kindred Heart that the astute reader would guess it could contain the seeds of something like this.

On Tol Eressëa, Celebrían recovers and remembers.
Aman lies in Darkness and the Noldor have been banished. The Rebellion has torn families apart and left children to fend for themselves in a darkened world with no one to rely on, while the leaders of the Noldor struggle to overcome their grief and rebuild order out of turmoil.
A very old Nerdanel looks back on her life from childhood to the present and reflects on her art and personal life while remembering her first work.
