Founded in 2005, the Silmarillion Writers' Guild exists for discussions of and creative fanworks based on J.R.R. Tolkien's The Silmarillion and related texts. We are a positive-focused and open-minded space that welcomes fans from all over the world and with all levels of experience with Tolkien's works. I enjoyed reading about Cirdan. And this was so different. A slight hint of romance lying as a yet untapped undercurrent of attraction between them.

Not so fitting as Lalwen, Cirdan thought, too light and airy for the warrior standing before him, her eyes slate-grey like the winter-sea and promising the possibility of storms. He thought he should like to watch those storms; feeling a smile stretch his lips at the thought.*
Oooh! I wish you would write more, Raiyana. I would love to see where this leads. I think Irime would make it quite difficult for him, even if she's interested. But I believe Cirdan would also enjoy the challenge.
I don't think she'd make it easy for him, no, but Círdan can be amazingly stubborn and headstrong (and she'd at least admire his determination - it's the same trait that got her across the ice...)
