p.s. there's a typo somewhere in the middle, you have Eldat instead of Eldar, you might want to fix that. ;)

That sums it up beautifully - even though we know that much of the beauty won't last, where they are. But nonetheless, it's what they must try - or start anew.
I love that your Elrond included the Dwarves in his musings, too!

I like that a lot!

I seem to see a reflection of Finrod's hope in the Atrabeth in it, as well as the spirit of Rivendell, of course, and also a bit of defence of Celebrimbor against the criticism canon directs at his hopes and ambitions?
