It took me a little while to think about the logical fallacy, and I think it's that Finrod was projecting his own opinion here, there, and everywhere. Does he KNOW that it would be terrible for Aegnor to be with an old woman? No, he doesn't. He just can't imagine that for himself! Maybe Aegnor is drawn to something deeper.

Oh, this is wonderful. I said 'Ha!' very loudly when reading it, and made my cat jump! Andreth taking matters into her own hands, quite rightly, and Finrod (who I generally love so much) left speechless. Excellent! I love the titles, too.
