Very nice, as I have come to expect from all of your work, but especially that concerned with Gil-galad. :) And I take your point about Orodreth ... I find myself increasingly annoyed these days by fandom's dismissal of Orodreth as "wimpy" or stupid. Finarfin was subject to much the same when I started reading Silmfic; I think that has changed somewhat, and I hope Orodreth will get fairer depictions as well. (Sorry for the tangent only minimally related to your double-drabble! :^P)

The problem with Orodreth is that no one really writes him, I guess. So there's no body of fanfic showing his understanding of the agricultural system that kept Nargothrond fed, or him being able to listen calmly to all sides in a disute and then get people to sit down and talk - not a great orator, just a good, decent person, doing the best he could. That maybe looks a bit bland compared to all the great heroics going on around him. I don't think for a moment he was weak, because that would suggest Finrod was a fool for trusting him, just that he was overwhelmed by a very polished team, and later he was a bit star struck over Turin (and he wasn't the first to make that mistake)

Talk about going off at a tangent, LOL. Sorry, rambling here. Thank you for the review, Dawn, I'm glad you liked the drabble - this batch were my first real attempt to write them and I rather enjoyed it.
