For the Ladies
Glorfindel and Erestor were sitting in the shade of the garden, enjoying the breeze and watching as the former Commander’s wife taught their young daughter how to plait her hair. Chuckling, Erestor turned toward his friend.
“I’ve always been curious about something,” said the dark-haired elf while pouring a glass of wine for each of them. Glorfindel’s eyebrow lifted in an invitation to continue. “Why did you consistently plait bells and flowers into Asfaloth’s mane and tail while we lived in Imladris?”
“Whatever makes you think it was my choice?” Glorfindel responded. “He did have an eye for the ladies.”

(1) Comment by Ellynn for For the Ladies [Ch 1]
Yep, it did! Interesting idea! :)
Re: (1) Comment by Ellynn for For the Ladies [Ch 1]
My husband, who is very literal, could not understand how a horse might make his desires known. But those of us who have been owned by any 4-legged ones know very well how they communicate without need for actual words - LOL. Thanks for laughing and reviewing :-)

(2) Comment by Robinka for For the Ladies [Ch 1]
I can imagine he was very... hmmmm specific about his looks ;)
Nicely done! Thank you.
Re: (2) Comment by Robinka for For the Ladies [Ch 1]
He was just as vain as Glorfindel can be - occasionally - (if I say always, he'll pout for the rest of the night - LOL). Thanks for reading and reviewing, I'm pleased that I brought a smile to you today.

Well, that explains that! I was a bit puzzled by those bells! Thank you very much for the explanation!

Thanks so much, elfscribe. Your comments over my stories since I first started posting have been invaluable and I would be unable to produce anything this fun without your unstinging assistance and encouragement.
