I really enjoyed this one. It's got a nice irreverence to it and at the same time a weirdly Silmish feeling of inevitability.

There are also poignant moments and effective descriptions, perfectly balanced against the absurdity of some of the dialogue.

Come for the meta and stay for the relationship drama--or vice versa? Works both ways, at least for me.

Well, I have to confess I enjoy the meta more... or perhaps it's just that it's rarer. I mean, relationship drama is everywhere, including OUTSIDE of fiction.

Anyway, I am very glad that you enjoyed this story! And especially that you found it balanced. It was surprisingly hard to put together.
