Poetry Prompt: A Drift of Dust (excerpt), by Nancy Cheng Long
If we are but ash, then let our names be the urns that hold us,
skins we slip into - the garments that shield us
from the wind. Because wind cannot help but concuss the fine particles
of our little-lived moments strung together.
And we cannot help but scatter
the light that forms us.
More space than shape, these bodies, this ocean of cosmic dust.

The title comes from the poem.
