Turin Turumbar
Read Turin Turumbar
The clouds part
Lightning rent the darkness
And I see him
Friend, brother….
I have slain him.
Truly I am cursed
The black sword.
In silence I bury him
Bravest of all
And my soul screams
In despair
Over what I have done
Over what I am.
Adanedhel they call me.
Agarwaen I name myself.
Turumbar I am.

My heart gets broken at the very image you have painted with words here. Very beautifully done. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you :) I always liked Turin but this was the first time I tried writing him! Glad you liked it and thank you for reading
(2) Comment by Adonnen Estenniel for Turin Turumbar
The personal tone of the narrator worked well in this piece. Túrin's emotion felt realistic, and I thought you achieved a wonderful effect here.

Thank you. I know I had to rewrite this one a lot of times before I was happy with it but it was a challange I enjoyed. I still have mostly not got my head around Turin I must admit, having spent far too much attention on the elves, the noldor in particular.
