It seems an unexpectedly bright and cheerful flower for such sad events as the death of Isildur and the death of Deagol, doesn't it? But as someone pointed out to me, they may not even have been in bloom right then and, besides, there is so much time for many far less sad events to have happened in the area at other times in the Third Age that we do not know about...
