About Me
I first read TLOTR in high school while on a backpack trip in the Colorado Rockies. Those woods will always have elves and hobbits in them for me. A friend of mine told me that if I liked that book I should definitely read the Silmarillion, but I had a lot of other books I wanted to read first.
About three years after that I was wandering in a used bookstore and came across a hardback copy of the Silmarillion, with the jacket illustration by Tolkien himself. I bought it for five bucks. That was almost 30 years ago. Since then I have read many of Christopher Tolkien's compilations and edits of his father's work. One story that stood out for me was that of Tuor, father of Earendil.
In 2014 I was looking for something to do on a sabbatical. I tried to find a full biography of Tuor to read, but only found the parts of his life that are in Lost Tales. I decided to write my own version of Tuor's life and I hope to post some of that on this site.
