Thank you very much, Elfscribe! I'm more of a Noldorin camp follower, usually, so I was a bit surprised to find myself writing from Celeborn's point of view!

We're not actually told where hithlain came from, I believe, but I thought it was at least plausible that it was known in Doriath as well as Lorien, but not in Aman.
