I don't imagine Miriel's feelings on motherhood became LESS complex after what became of Feanor.
Tolkien would not have characterized it this way because idk if they even knew about it at the time, but I've always drawn parallels between Miriel's experience and severe post-partum depression, so while there were a lot of elements of motherhood she genuinely struggled with, there was also a lot that was difficult for her because she was incredibly depressed and no one knew how to help her with that.
