This poem emerged from the depths of Moria, and still needs some shaping and polishing! Or maybe it's a rather rough translation...  

It makes very free with the Song of Durin, but only respect is intended.

I love the idea that Legolas noticed all of these things about Gimli and the dwarves, even while they were still fairly brusque to each other.
