Fanwork Notes

and life on life goes down
you can watch them go
like seabirds winging west, outracing the day's fire
down the horizon, irresistibly
streaking on to the shores of Evening.

This is an utterly fantastic story! I love Thuringwethil's attitude when she encounters Lúthien again ("You have a right to be afraid and grieved and furious. So start exercising that right again instead of sitting here waiting for the world to end."). Her entire characterization is sharp and utterly her. And Lúthien! Her reactions to everything ring true (and I love the callbacks to canon).
